Senior Manager, Direct Marketing

A leading insurance organisation is currently looking for someone to be responsible in direct marketing campaigns working with different distribution channels aligned with company and channel sales strategies.

•Ownership of direct marketing, retention & acquisition campaigns via direct mail and bespoke distribution campaigns.
•Develop project scope and objectives for all cross-sell initiatives, identify and remove roadblocks and ensure successful delivery of projects on time and on budget.
•Establishes quarterly strategic roadmaps working with distribution, customer and product teams that highlight cross-sell/upsell and ad-hoc efforts, and implements across Marketing.
•Initiates A/B testing of creative, target segments and timing to drive direct marketing efforts.
•Design and launch new campaigns to increase conversion through cross-sell/upsell and acquisition campaigns.
•Optimize campaigns based on learning to attain the best results.
•Work closely with creative, production and product teams to develop and modify email content for testing and conversion optimization.
•Work closely with data analytics team to track results of direct marketing campaigns and report results to senior management.
•Collaborate with Customer team to develop contact rules on email marketing campaigns for all insurance products (with a focus on protection), ensuring consistency in communications, brand, and functionality.
•Works with email platforms (Dream & Epsilon) and CRM platform to execute and monitor email campaign deployment.
•Maintain domain expert knowledge of direct marketing best practices that includes optimization of campaigns, design and deployment, special offers, key metrics (open rates, CTR, response rates, etc.)
•Manage engagement and develop relationships with stakeholders such as Channel Heads, BDMs in Agency Distribution and Partnership Distribution to deliver agreed channel marketing plans and strategies within the timeline

•Degree in Finance / Business / Marketing with minimum 10 years of relevant experience
•Self-starter and business acumen
•Ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships with vendors, partners and internal teams
•Articulate and confident, this person must be able to conduct training for large audiences (distribution teams)
•Able to handle himself/herself well and address queries in front of demanding agency force and experienced agency leaders
•Excellent communication skills with strong ability to work with stakeholders
•Proven ability to manage work process accurately and effectively with knowledge and experience
•A positive, enthusiastic, committed and ‘can do’ approach.
•Strong knowledge of direct marketing, technology, trends and tactics (e.g. A/B testing, optimizing conversion, implementing contact strategies, lead generation etc.)
•Demonstrated knowledge of consumer-focused email platforms and email analytics.
•Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) required and email design software and CRM (sales force) preferred.
•Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills, able to work well under deadlines in a changing environment and perform multiple tasks effectively and concurrently.
•Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a collaborative team oriented environment using sound judgment in decision-making.
•Data driven mind-set with strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
•Agile and comfortable with a fast-paced environment and change
