Accountant – Hedge Fund

Charterhouse are recruiting on behalf of a growing Hedge Fund, who are hiring for an Accountant based out of their Singapore HQ. This is a new hire due to expansion.

Responsibilities

Reporting into the COO, the successful candidate will work closely with the fund administrator, the auditors, the tax agent and banks to ensure timely distribution of reports to investors and submission of reports to the regulator. You will perform daily and monthly reconciliation between the fund administrator and accounting system as well as prepare the investor transparency reports that reflect fund performance, risk and exposure. Furthermore, the job holder will prepare the monthly books and record for managed accounts and prepare MAS forms ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. As part of this role, the Accountant will co-ordinate with auditors and fund administrators in facilitating the annual audit process and will also file tax filings to Singaporean tax authorities.

Suitability

To be qualified for this opportunity, you will be degree educated and have a minimum of 4 years of experience, either working in Finance for a Hedge Fund or for a Fund Administrator covering Hedge Fund clients. My client will also consider Big 4 Auditors who are looking to move into a Finance position.

Due to the nature of the role, you must have excellent interpersonal skills and be an individual looking for longer term career growth, which could be looking to expand your skill set to more than just accounting.
