Overview:

Our client is a leading specialist Consultancy with offices across Asia, Europe & APAC & they have built a reputation for innovative award winning design. With an exciting portfolio of varied projects spanning commercial, residential, government and health sectors they are looking to recruit an experienced Architect who’s open to doing something a bit different & pick up new skills in Façade Design.

Taking a ground breaking approach to Façade design what they’re looking for in you is a fresh & inventive approach, utilising your Architectural background & training to offer the client something different & out of the ordinary.

In return they can offer expert training & guidance to help your transition and with a number of new build projects recently awarded & more in the pipeline they can provide the opportunity to work on prestigious projects across the region, working with blue chip clients on challenging & innovative project briefs.  

Responsibilities:

• Liaising with architects, builders and developers your role will be to provide Concept through to detail design for building Façade. Coordinating with the client’s design team of architects, structural, ESD and acoustic engineers in other practices you will help determine best façade design outcomes.

• Able to produce design sketches and reports required for schematic, design development and constructions phases of projects you will be required to liaise with internal project teams & attend meetings with clients, architects and contractors to ensure successful delivery of projects through to completion.

Background & Experience:

• A degree qualified Architect you will be able to demonstrate a proven track record in developing design for a range of projects in the Built Environment with around 5 years Construction industry experience.

• Some prior involvement / knowledge of Façade design and buildability consultancy, including material knowledge and installation techniques for the Construction Industry would be of benefit but our client will be looking to provide training so we’re really looking for candidates with transferrable skills sets rather than in-depth technical knowledge of Façade structures.

• Any experience of working with glass, aluminium, precast concrete, architectural steel, lightweight structures and stone cladding will be an advantage but not essential. As would any experience of different façade systems.
