Job Description
Responsibilities
- Reports to Regional Commercial Director
- Coordinates, directs and implements the marketing objectives and strategies, advertising and promotion for Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension
Marketing Plans & Promotional Campaigns
- Preparation of strategic marketing plans in collaboration with local cross functional teams
- Implementation of marketing plans and promotional campaigns
- Development of promotional material in accordance with relevant plans
- Effective communication of promotional campaign at cycle meetings
- Work with local business managers to develop accurate and concise Field Sales Action Plan for implementation
- Liaise with agencies & suppliers to ensure timely & cost effective delivery of required promotional materials
- Evaluate the effectiveness of promotion and advertising programmes and make improvements or changes as necessary
- Co-ordinate &/or lead brand teams to meet product development objectives
- Identify and drive market research activities to measure defined objectives, answer key strategic questions, and monitor competitive programs
- Ensure marketed product(s) professional promotions activities meet with regulatory/compliance requirements
- Ensure all business activities comply with relevant Acts, legal demands and ethical standards within each country’s pharmaceutical code of conduct
Sales Support
- Support local Business Managers / Key Account Managers through implementation of the overarching portfolio plan and associated programs, materials and initiatives
- Support local Business Managers / Key Account Managers through direct involvement and support of local (account level) marketing initiatives. In this seek to customise around account need
- Maintain alignment to national commercial direction / objectives and share best practice to extend commercial successes.
- Provide input for Cycle / Sales meeting programs to motivate and deliver value and direction to field based associates for assigned portfolio
- Provide input, coordinate and/or drive key account planning endeavours to see integration of sales and marketing approach.
Business Planning
- Direct engagement in annual forecasting and business planning exercises
- Analyze market data (including but not limited to IMS, sales, patient numbers) for PAH portfolio by country/brand
- Provide analysis updates where appropriate to internal customers
- Have a comprehensive understanding of market metrics and dynamics
- Assist in the market assessment for new and existing products
Market Intelligence
- Work with local Business Managers to ensure planned programs / available resources address key business needs
- Actively monitor and maintain compliance with local/global/MA standards as applicable to MR programs and where relevant AE reporting
- Work with Business Manager to gather local competitor insights. Monitor and actively communicate on competitor initiatives and changes in key dynamics
Professional Relationships
- Organisation of relevant conference/ symposia in coordination with Medical department
- Development of professional relationships with key opinion leaders
Communication & Information Sharing
- Work closely with internal customers e.g. sales, medical and finance to ensure a team based approach to strategy and activity
Requirements
- Preferably a tertiary qualification in life science/pharmacy and or general business/marketing
- Prior experience in the pharmaceutical industry with marketing experience
- Strong financial/numerical capabilities are required
- Previous experience in cardiovascular, respiratory or rheumatology therapeutic categories would be an advantage
- Ability to work within a team and matrix environment
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and accept accountability for results
- Strong customer focus
- Marketing experience in a market other than home country, preferably within ASEAN
- Experience in pharmaceutical sales highly preferred
- Proven success working in complex specialty markets
- Superior verbal and written communication skills
- Travelling 25%
