Cyber Security Manager – Senior Position, Banking

Job description

My client is a renowned bank and they are expanding and growing aggressively in the region. They are expanding their Technology and Operations set up in Singapore and is keen to speak to top tier talents in the market.

They are currently looking to hire a senior leadership role within their Security Operation Center. As part of a high-performing team, the individual will be providing leadership and subject matter expertise in Cyber Security and threat response.

Key responsibilities

• The successful candidate will be heavily involved in both operational and capability improvement activities.

• The individual act as a trusted advisor and SME in the topic and must be up to date with the latest trends and technologies to be able to identify any gaps and recommend any purchase of technologies the bank needs.

• Candidates must also be hands-on in the design and development of cyber security technology and be able to provide technical expertise and leadership to the technical team and the business.

• Work closely with the technical teams and engineers in technical troubleshooting, exercises and forums

• Participate as part of the Cyber Security enhancement team to drive new initiatives, projects and deployments
   

Requirements

• Relevant Degree in engineering/Computer Science / IT/Cyber Security from a recognized education institution

• Security Related Qualifications will be highly desirable e.g. SANS, GCIA etc.)

• Minimum 8-10 years of relevant Cyber Security experience preferably majority within the banking industry

• Expert knowledge in networking technology and network security (i.e. Firewalls, WAF, IDS, IPS, VPN, HIPS, ADS, SIEM, UBA and TCP/IP protocols)

• Experience working in a SOC environment and leading a team of qualified Security Engineers

• Strong Analytical and problem solving skills

• Effective team leadership qualities and people skills

• Good written and verbal communication skills
