A great opportunity to join one of the leading British multinationals as their Data Platform Engineer working across technologies like Hadoop, R & Python. This is a hands on role.
Job description
As a Data Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Handling of complex projects and supporting those projects implemented
- Tuning, troubleshooting and scaling Big Data technologies for complex systems
- Working with several different system types
- Creating high-quality technical documentation
- Contributing to business development including scoping and quoting candidate systems
- Assessing work sequences and assessments on how to complete system deliveries
- Contributing to the daily operations and strategic direction of the company’s drive for continuous improvement
Working with software engineers to deploy/modify code and software packages regularly
As a successful applicant, you would have at least 6 years of relevant experience in technologies like Hadoop, R & Python. Having a background of Linux & TCP/IP is advantageous to have.
