Job description
Responsibilities
- Medical Education
- Manage in-house Continuing Medical Education programs
- Manage undergraduate and post-graduate training programs, including those receiving PECT funding
- Support the organization and logistics for in-house faculty development programs and large scale conferences /workshops (E.g. Derm Update)
- Ensure that educational quality assurance processes such as implementing surveys and analysing data are carried out this was, and any concern with regard to educational quality and / or student progress is surfaced to key stakeholders and continuous improvement to the programs can be made
- Managing and introducing programmes to strengthen the engagement levels of doctors
- Reporting, Budget and Processes
- Review of reports and returns to be submitted to MOH, NHG and other relevant parties for audit and governance purpose
- Continuous improvement of work processes and training programmes in consultation with Programme Director and APD
- Tracking and management of budgets to maximise benefits to organization
- Ensure compliance to regulatory requirements from MOH and Singapore Medical Council (SMC)
- Medical Manpower
- Main point of contact to liaise with MOH on medical manpower requirements for organization
- Manage the administration of medical officers or non-organization trainees posted to organization
- Credentialing and privileging processing for doctors.
- Manage the appointment of our doctors as Visiting Consultants to other healthcare institutions.
- Manage the appointment of incoming Visiting Consultants to the organization
- Support the appointment of visiting fellows
- General administration and implementation of a variety of projects / events assigned to the department which would require request for quote, negotiate with vendors, program planning and detailed logistic planning
- Assist other duties as and when assigned
Requirements
- Education or Training experience
- Bachelor Degree with any discipline
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Manager in leading teams
- Healthcare background would be advantage
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Meticulous, systematic and organized
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills in working with different groups of stakeholders
- Enjoys multi-tasking and able to work on multiple projects across different functions
- Possess the drive and strength to carry out the implementation of policies and plan
- Able to supervise and motivate team members
- Ability to handle and manage stressful situations and work independently under pressure
