Job description
As a member of the R&D Electronics Team, you will be the team leader of the electronics hardware integration in advanced digital imaging and precision motion control.
Responsibilities
-
Develop electronic subsystems for control of surgical and industrial microscope.
-
Perform architect design, circuit design, and firmware development of electronic subsystems.
-
Lead team members in the design of electronic subsystems.
-
Review the designs of the team members.
-
Proper selection of electronics components for new product development.
-
Close liaison with supplier and operation for design improvement.
-
Comply and adhere to the regulatory, ISO14001, OHSAS 18001 and company’s EHS requirement
-
Participate in lean and continuous improvement initiatives and projects
Requirements
-
PhD, Master and good Bachelor degree in Electronics or Computer Engineering with preferably at least 5 years of experience in electronics design and firmware development
-
Rich knowledge and experience in the design of real-time embedded system for servo system, robotics, motion control, and computerized control

Competency in PCBA design/review/verification is a must
-
Knowledge or experience in some of the following areas is an added advantage:

USB, CAN bus, I2C bus and microprocessor architecture

Control theory
-
FPGA design
-
Power regulator circuit and analog circuit electronics design

Software development using Visual C++ on Windows platform

Language proficiency in English

Minimal travel
