Senior Operations Business & Data Analyst – Asset Management (1 year Contract)

Job description

​RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Requirements Gathering:
o Elicits requirements from stakeholders, applying effective elicitation methods/ standards/tools.
o Analyses and validates requirements using a systematic, disciplined and analytical approach to problem solving.
o Conducts impact assessment to identify the "as-is" processes, systems, and the "future" processes, systems and structures.
o Performs data analysis to cleanse & standardize data and to ensure data consistency and quality.
o Performs gaps and resolutions analysis.
o Ensures requirements are complete.
o Documents requirement/processes using industry standard notations.
o Maintains relationships with stakeholders and obtains formal signoff of all requirement documentation.
o Liaises with service providers to ensure understanding of requirements and limitations of solutions.
• Solution Assessment and Validation:
o Works closely with the IT and Business teams to ensure solutions are optimal.
o Supports functional and integration testing.
• Implementation Support:
o Provides project support to the impacted teams during implementation phases, including answering queries, trouble shooting, liaison with service provider, providing regular reporting.
o Contributes to project management processes, including status reporting, risk, issue, change management

REQUIREMENTS:
• Degree in Business/Finance or related disciplines
• 5-7 years Financial Services BA experience (Asset management desirable)
• Excellent customer focus and high level of accuracy, and attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of the small team
• Experience in Data Analysis and change management
• Familiar with data management frameworks
• Prior experience in Reference Data/Operational Data system implementation is desirable
• Strong foundation in buy side enterprise data model including portfolio structure, security reference data, market data, pricing, transactions & position, finance, and product data
• Working experience in major asset classes and associated analytics.
• Experienced in working on transformational projects that created substantial organizational level changes
