Job description

Responsible for effective provisioning, operation, and maintenance
of all assigned systems infrastructure within the Regional HQ Data Centre and in the affiliate office sites. This individual will conduct technical research on the latest trends and technologies to enable continuing innovation
within the region. This individual ensures that system hardware and software, operating systems are strictly adhered to IT Policies and Standards.

The SSA will focus on the following technical aspects of infrastructure: Windows Servers Operating Systems, database systems, Backup and Recovery and Virtual Infrastructures.

The SSA will need to work closely with both internal staffs and external third-party vendors to effectively maintain and improve the information systems of the company.

RESPONSIBILITIES:


1. Provide Effective Business Operation and Support

  • Provide effective ICT support to the Asia Pacific region and achieve system availability targets as per agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

  • Deliver assigned ICT projects and solutions to the region within approved budget, timeline, and scope in accordance with the annual action plans and mid-term plans.

  • Conduct technical feasibility studies and recommend technology solutions.

  • Prepare and update the assigned ICT Policies and Standards.

  • Ensure all ICT infrastructure and systems are fully compliant to all ICT local and international laws, standards, and regulations.

  • Prepare and execute ICT recovery tests in accordance with Company’s requirement.

  • Plan, schedule and execute ICT maintenance and upgrade activities.

  • Assist project teams throughout the entire project life cycle, with activities such as technical research, feasibility studies, cost benefits analysis, risk assessment, management proposal, resource management, project documentation, solution implementation and technical support in testing and go-live preparation.

  • Provide training to regional IT representatives to ensure procedural and technical competencies in their daily activities.

  • Provide monthly updates and status reports to the HOD.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the HOD.

2. Infrastructure Operations and Maintenance

  • Perform proactive monitoring of Server hardware, storage, and systems. Respond to alerts and initiate corrective action.

  • Maintain of VMware vSphere environment consisting of VMware ESXi server cluster and SAN Storage. Perform Virtual machine deployment and management. Conduct active monitoring of Virtual environment and respond to alerts and errors.

  • Perform installation of new Windows Server Operating System in accordance with the specification provided. Supports and troubleshoot all issues related to Microsoft Windows Server Operating Systems.

  • Perform installation of new SQL Database in accordance with the specification provided. Support and troubleshoot all issues related to Microsoft SQL Databases.

  • Maintain the Regional Active Directory infrastructure spanning across different sites and domains (e.g.: Domain Controllers, Read-only Domain controllers, Group Policy Objects (GPO), DNS, DHCP, LDAP, Active directory replication, Schema, Certificate Authority). Perform installation of new domain controllers or RODC according to the specification provided.

  • Maintain Microsoft Key Management Services to ensure it’s always up to date for Windows Server Operating Systems and Microsoft office product activation.

  • Maintain on-premises Exchange server in Hybrid environment. Troubleshoot and support all issues related to Exchange server.

  • Maintain Azure AD Connect server. Troubleshoot and support all issues related to Azure AD Connect server.

  • Maintain ManageEngine Opmanager Monitoring system to ensure all critical systems uptime, resource and performance are monitored.

  • Maintain ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus server and Administration (e.g., user and technician account administration, categories creation, SLA, asset management, reporting)

  • Maintain and create PowerShell scripts for operation and reporting purpose (e.g.: Active directory

  • users reporting, user onboarding, user departing, monitoring, bulk deployment)

  • Perform Daily operations of monitoring and management of Veeam backup and replication to ensure Virtual servers are protected according to backup policy. Perform restore request and troubleshoot failed jobs and initiate corrective action.

  • Maintain all servers in the region consisting of physical servers and virtual servers with the latest security and anti-virus updates.

  • Manage, Plan, and execute Regional Office ICT Infrastructure upgrade and expansions.

  • Plan and execute capacity planning for all ICT Infrastructure.

  • Work closely with 3rd Party Vendor to Plan and execute firmware / Version upgrade for all ICT Infrastructure.

  • Support planning and execution for Regional Disaster Recovery Exercises

3. D-Project ICT Operations

  • Implement Post-live Operation.

  • Perform operation of Jump box provisioning.

  • Perform operation of User and device access request.

  • Managed S-User operation on weekly basis.

  • Maintain Azure AD SSO Integration.

  • Maintain Interface integration.

  • Manage RHQ Server provisioning and access.

  • Manage S/4 printing.

  • Perform Annual operation of DR Server Update.

  • Perform Annual HEC DR Server test.

  • Maintain IP Master list.

  • Execute HEC Change Management process.

  • Working closely with Global team on EMS Tickets.

  • Manage request from vendor for server access.

  • IoT Device security operation.

  • Asset Management and Procurement

  • Perform procurement of hardware, software, and services.

  • Ensure up-to-date inventory listing of hardware and software for the region.

  • Preparing, generating, and updating of routine reports/ documentations and SOPs.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science / Information Technology (or equivalent proven knowledge with work experience)

  • Min. 4-6 years of IT experience in a technical hands-on capacity in a

  • regional HQ of a MNC, with infrastructure implementation exposure

  • Good experience in project execution and regional technical

  • team leadership.

  • Exposure in preparation of ICT Policy and Standards.

  • Strong technical exposure or professional certifications in the following: Microsoft Servers Operating Systems, Microsoft Active Directory, SQL Server Database, SAP Basis administration, SharePoint, Office365, Exchange, VMware, vSphere and ESXi, HP Blades, EMC SAN, Veeam Backup, and replication.

  • Exposure in Business Continuity and disaster recovery.

  • Sound knowledge in ITIL V3 processes.

  • Good interpersonal communication and coordination skills.

  • Knowledgeable in:

  • Networking (Firewall, VPN, switches)

  • ICT Budget Processes

  • Project Management certification (CITPM, PMP or PRINCE)
