Trade Finance Operations Manager - Director / Managing Director, Regional Bank (Global Search)

Job description

Working exclusively with my client to hire a senior and hands-on Trade Finance Operations Director / Managing Director to join them in Singapore.

The incumbent is expected to have strong technical knowledge of Trade Finance products, trade workflows and processes and have managed sizeable teams.

Do note that this role is based in Singapore

Reporting to the Global Operations Head based in Singapore, you will manage a big team and provide good technical and effective trade support to clients and relationship managers to mitigate trade cycle risk exposures and to ensure successful completion of structured deals.

In addition to managing a team, you will also be involved in reviewing and authorizing daily transactions within clients’ expected turnaround time, provide quality processing and timely service delivery to clients and also work closely with various stakeholders to ensure proper execution of client applications.

As the Head of the teams, you will also coach and provide training to the team to be proficient with dealing of clients.

You will also propose areas of improvements in the team and participate in assigned projects from time to time.

To qualify, individuals must possess:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Minimum 15 years of hands-on Trade Finance Operations experience
• Have track record in managing sizeable teams
• MUST have strong knowledge of various ICC publications:  UCP600, ISP98, URR725, URC522, ISBP
• Good knowledge of Swift Alliance and any main accounting systems
• Excellent communication skills
