Job description

​Our client in the cybersecurity industry is currently seeking an Assistant Finance Manager to join their team as they expand operations across the APAC region. A well-established business with years of legacy, they are geared up for exponential in the coming years where cybersecurity would continue to be a matter of interest for all businesses. In this role, the candidate will be working closely with the Finance Director to oversee the accounts for the Singapore and Malaysia market. Benefiting from the manager’s wealth of experience, the successful candidate can expect room for progression as he/she gains experience and grow in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Full P&L analysis, budgeting, and forecasting

  • Reviewing full sets of accounts

  • Prepare month end closing journals and month end closing activities.

  • Providing monthly performance/variance analysis and rolling cashflow forecast.

  • Liaising with various banking partners for banker’s guarantee and cash flow forecast.

  • Monitor progress of ongoing projects to achieve target results, including progress payments.

  • Process staff claims and ensure claims submitted are within finance policy.

  • Business partnering with various departments and comfortable challenging status quo.

  • Involved in process improvement and identifying control gaps.

  • Prepare monthly P&L presentation to management.

  • Manage and closely monitor the cash flow, implementing measures to enhance net working capital. Additionally, support the formulation, execution, and subsequent monitoring of business plans in alignment with Business Unit strategies.

  • Handle statutory reporting (Corporate Tax/GST/Audit)

Qualifications & Skillset:

  • 6-8 years of working experience in accounting / audit role.

  • Degree educated – ideally in a Finance/Accounting related discipline.

  • Qualified Accountants preferred.

  • IT Skills required: Pivot, Excel, Ppt.
