Our client is a global leader in Class II & III medical devices.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the coordination, deployment and implementation of assigned projects/programs from conception to completion in collaboration with regional GPS&L (Global Planning, Supply & Logistics) teams to successfully develop and assure implementation, definition and diffusion of objectives, strategies, actions (tactics) plans, and its execution. In addition, the incumbent will lead GPS&L regional-wide lean and/or Six Sigma programs and serve as the team’s BEX (Business Excellence) SME, in alignment and under the guidance of BEX and PRO Corporate practices
  • Manage strategic to enterprise-wide programs and/or portfolio:
  • Facilitate the creation and approval of complex business cases within the program, and coordinate the sharing of resources among projects
  • Establish, maintain, and influence program stakeholder relationships, expectations, and communications, both internal and external to the organization
  • Develop a high-level integrated milestone plan for the program and manage program changes in accordance with the change management plan to control scope, quality, schedule, cost, and contracts
  • Execute program plans (quality, risk, communication, staffing, etc.) and capture and communicate program status and data in order to maintain accurate and current program information for the use of stakeholders
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in project and program management, including guiding and mentoring project managers; sourcing and directing contract resources tied to projects within the program; and develop expertise in a business process, professional discipline, market or product partnership with Corporate Logistics function for issuance and/or implementation of regional and global contracts
  • Following Corporate practices and programs, actively lead region-wide Lean/Six Sigma/NPI projects/systems and workshops (e.g. Value Improvement Projects (VIP) program), and serve as a Business Excellence subject matter expert for GPS&L in the region
  • Consistently lead the deployment, training, execution, and follow through of strategic and complex or region-wide lean and/or Six Sigma programs
  • Serve as a Business Excellence subject matter expert and provide technical guidance to Belt candidates, coaching team members and influencing stakeholders
  • Own one or more Project Management Office (PMO) continuous improvement activities
  • Build project management capabilities across divisions/site

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field with 10 years of hands on experience managing large to midsize projects and/or programs of increasing complexity required
  • Master's Degree or equivalent with Preferred
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification Required
  • Other: Program Management Professional (PgMP) certification Preferred
  • Green belt or Black belt or Scrum Master certification Preferred
  • Proven expertise in usage of MS Office Suite and related project management systems
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives
  • Expert understanding and knowledge of principles, theories, and concepts relevant to managing multiple projects and charting the course of overall programs (portfolio)
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent understanding and work experience with project budgets and financial management
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to influence change
  • Experience in facilitating change, including collaboration with management and executive stakeholders
  • Experience within a regulated environment
  • Strict attention to detail
  • Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels and proactively escalate issues to appropriate levels of management in the organization
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment
  • Must be able to work in a team environment, including interactions with higher, equivalent and lower level internal and external representatives concerning projects, area decisions, scheduling requirements, and/or driving contractual clarifications
  • Ability to lead meetings with external representatives
  • Adhere to all EHS rules and requirements and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control
