Field Service Engineer

Job description

Report to: Regional Field Service Manager

Provide installation, basic operational training and repair services within an assigned area to assure continuity of customer operations and high levels of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Required to install / maintain / repair sequencing related equipment on-site
• Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions
• Communicate with the customer to ensure satisfaction and implement any necessary corrective actions
• Produce timely and detailed service reports
• Interface with cross functional work teams such as field applications, customer support, product management, manufacturing and marketing / sales
• Team up with colleagues and other team members
• Developing and coaching new employees

• Having good knowledge about computer’s software and hardware
• Good English skills, Chinese would be a plus

Education/Experience:

• Biochemical/Electrical/mechanical engineering background
• 3+ years job experience in servicing biomedical equipment, preferred molecular biological or equivalent instrumentation with high complexity
• Prior knowledge and experience in Genetics, Molecular Biology or Bioinformatics preferred
