Finance Manager, General Ledger

Job description

​RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Leading a team of 8 pax within the General Ledger function

• Provide guidance to team members as and when required

• Oversee day to day finance operations and the General Ledger for the business

• Monitor updates in accounting standards / legislation on reporting

• Ensure compliance with the general accounting standards and IFRS

• Monthly closing process/reporting

• Track the company's financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement.

• Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and systems enhancement

• Ad-hoc duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent (ACCA or CA) with prior experience in auditing

• Minimally 8 years of experience in accounting operations, with 3 – 4 years of managerial experience

• At least 3 – 4 years of audit experience

• Proficient understanding of IFRS and genera; accounting standards

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
