Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement marketing plans for responsible segment and product groups including new and existing business, incorporating regulatory aspects to ensure regional sales and profit growth
  • Ensure segment and product group relevant tactical plan alignment with region or countries with respect to market segments, market specific positioning, growth tactics and pricing strategies
  • Align and communicate effectively between global and local marketing
  • Marketing Planning
    • Develop, modify and drive relevant segment and relevant product regional marketing tactics for positioning, marketing penetration and pricing that will improve the organization’s competitive position and meet business objectives in short and long‐term
    • Ensure the effectiveness of alignment, communication and implementation of the Asia Pacific marketing drive in selling areas
    • Maintain excellent market knowledge of all major prospects and local competitor activities, researching and report on local market opportunities
    • Channel marketing plan implementation and evaluation
    • Manage and plan on marketing activities and budget
  • Drive Implementation
    • Responsible for budget of key regional industry tradeshows, sponsors seminars, promotions, advertisement and workshops as needed to address a segment and promote relevant products (ROI driven)
    • Facilitates interactions with selling organizations, plan and execute of major campaigns to generate qualified leads to drive sales growth and profit
    • Manage and drive the growth of all the business units and overall profitability of the division
    • Applies knowledge of financial gap analyses to relevant product line and forward looking strategy for sales managers and product managers
    • Work with marketing managers and GSC to prepare product unit forecast and quarterly review
  • Market and Product management
    • Develop and implement a suitable system and process for capturing, monitoring, analyzing and evaluating market, customer and competitive indicators that will feed sales and marketing decision making
    • Enhance market share for focused existing products in the identified market and customer segments
    • Manage pricing and product life cycles to maximize sales and profit
    • Working along with the Asia Pacific CDG business development manager, Identify and develop new markets for existing product lines
    • Effectively implement and manage new product launch process
  • Develop New Business/Market Segmentation
    • Assess and evaluate business and market opportunities and potential
    • Develop marketing plans for new business and market penetration
    • Optimise resources for implementation
  • Customer Relationship
    • Understanding and targeting current and potential customers and market base needs
    • Managing the customer journey (customer relationship ‐KOL management)
    • Enhance company’s brand as a Diagnostic company at market place
    • Develop innovative channel to ensure positive customer engagement
    • Develop customer based solutions and socialize it within selling organization
  • Communication
    • Provide timely and effective communication with sub‐regional marketing and commercial managers for tactic marketing direction to ensure the effective implementation in areas
    • Provide regular communication with commercial manager and customer care manager to help increasing selling effectiveness and get market feedback
    • Provide regular communication with Clinical Diagnostic Group for Asia Pacific marketing situation to ensure alignment with global and get necessary resources and support
  • Administration
    • Provide monthly reports to the Asia Pacific Marketing Head
    • Ensure compliance adherence to company policy and guideline

Education

  • Minimum: Tertiary qualifications in Biosciences / Microbiology/Biochemistry/Medical Technology
  • Desirable: Marketing / Business qualifications

 

Experience

  • 8‐10 years of relevant marketing experience
  • Regional experience (3‐5 years preferred)
  • Excellent marketing skill and Core Diagnostic lab and Autoimmune/Immunology market experience (Strongly preferred)
  • English (required), Mandarin (preferred) and other Asia languages are plus
  • Proven ability to prepare, implement and monitor business/marketing plans
  • Good work knowledge of clinical diagnostics industrial practices
  • Knowledge of the ‘Sales Process’
  • Ability to work and use CRM for marketing campaigns
  • Ability to do analysis from SFDC to take important business decisions
