Job description
You will be responsible for the overall finance accounting and reporting functions of the Singapore distribution business unit and support Japan's accounting operations.
As a business lead, you are to optimize the use of SAP across functions, ensuring engagement of entity’s power users. You have to work closely with business stakeholders and will be the contact point for relevant regional/global teams
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Accounting & Reporting
- Prepare tax, statutory filings and statutory audit
- Prepare financial reports for month end closings, review schedules and report to US
- Supervise A/P, A/R, G/A functions
- Manage cash flow
- Coordinate with bankers, auditors and tax agents and attorneys, as required
- Carry out special projects, as requested
- Drive internal controls
Business Lead
- Drive process consistency and monitor performance against Global KPIs
- Support power users – understand training needs and coordinate training
- Maintain accounting policies and procedures
- Manage external vendors
- Oversee the accounting operations of Japan
- Ensure that accounts payables are in order
- Responsible for bank reconciliations and account reconciliations
- Ensure compliance to internal controls and policies
- Finance analytics and reporting
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Accounting degree
- Certified Public Accountant preferred
- 8-10 years of relevant experience with background in accounting and audit
- Good team player who can work independently and perform under pressure
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
- Ability to perform under pressure and thrive in a dynamic and challenging environment
- Ability to interact with diverse stakeholders
