Job description
This role reports directly to the Head of Controllership, acts as a strategic business partner to stakeholders across levels and business functions. The incumbent will lead a team in performing the full spectrum of controllership tasks, covering multiple business lines in different geographical locations within APAC.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Responsible for leading the team in timely month-end closing and balance sheet management
- Manage all statutory/compliance reports in assigned area of responsibility
- Liaise with Corporate Treasury to manage cashflow forecast requirements for APAC entities and ensure optimal use of cash
- Settlement of inter-company balances
- Optimize team’s capacity in efficient management of accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Review and update SOX on key processes
- Ensure reconciliation between US GAAP and Local GAAP accounts
- Provide mentorship for team members, develop and upscale their capabilities
- Ensure that team objectives and action plans align with company objectives
- Work with Corporate Tax on annual corporate tax filing
- Ad-hoc assignments
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree in Accountancy, CPA qualification highly preferred
- Minimum 10 years of relevant working experience, preferably with at least 4 years of audit experience in a Big 4
- Minimum 5 years of people management experience
- Strong accounting background, including GL, AP and AR
- Acute business acumen
- Work well in complex, fast-paced and fluid environment
- Must be self-driven to excel
- Working experience in US MNC
- Familiarity with US GAAP
- Past experience in regional role preferred
- Excellent communication skills and proficiency in Indonesian language a plus
- Proficient in ERP systems and MS applications (Excel etc.)
- Meticulous and outstanding organizational capability
