Job description
Rare opportunity to join an International Bank as a SVP, Platform Engineering Lead (Cloudera TDM) with prior experience handling large scale multi-million project delivery.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Head end-to-end Cloudera platform engineering that covers data analytics, big data engineering, data quality and data integration
Hands-on development of standardized data frameworks and playbooks to streamline the work across the engineering team
Build strong relationship with the data engineering team through domain expertise to spearhead all changes on Cloudera platform
Liaise with multiple parties and create buy-in from internal and senior stakeholders for new frameworks and standards
REQUIREMENTS:
Master or bachelor’s in computer science, Computer Engineering or equivalent with at least 15 years of extensive hands-on experience the technical delivery of data platforms on a group level
In-depth proficiency in Cloudera products, Hortonworks, Apache, Hive, Impala and Spark
In-depth expertise in modern data technology stack including
Databases
Data storage
Data marts
In-and-outs of query processing
Integrating various data applications
Strong expertise in Hadoop ecosystem: Apache Kafka, Hbase
Experience in large databases such as Oracle, Teradata and Informatica will be preferred
Experience in Banking and/or Financial Services industries will be recommended
