Job description
Our client is a leading US-listed software multinational corporation with a global presence. One of the leading players in the software industry committed to innovation and excellence. The organisation is currently seeking a seasoned Tax Senior Manager to join a dynamic team and oversee tax matters across the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.
Key Responsibilities
Tax Strategy and Planning:
Develop and implement tax strategies aligned with business goals for the APAC region.
Provide proactive tax planning advice to optimize the organization's tax position.
Compliance Management:
Ensure timely and accurate preparation and filing of all tax returns for APAC jurisdictions.
Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations, ensuring compliance with local tax requirements.
Transfer Pricing:
Oversee and manage transfer pricing policies to ensure alignment with global and regional business operations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and maintain arm's length pricing.
Tax Controversy and Audits:
Manage tax audits and controversies, working closely with external advisors and tax authorities.
Develop strategies to minimize tax exposure and resolve issues efficiently.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with finance, legal, and business teams to provide tax support for business initiatives and projects.
Conduct training sessions to increase awareness of tax implications within the organization.
Risk Management:
Identify and assess tax risks associated with business activities in the APAC region.
Implement effective risk mitigation strategies to safeguard the company's tax position.
Reporting and Analysis:
Prepare regular tax reports and analyses for senior management, highlighting key tax metrics and trends.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of tax-related financial information.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Extensive experience in tax, with a focus on the APAC region.
Strong knowledge of international tax laws, transfer pricing, and compliance requirements.
Proven experience in managing tax audits and disputes.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional, multinational environment.
