Job description

Reporting directly to the Head of Group Enterprise Risk & Compliance, this Associate / Deputy Director (Group Enterprise Risk & Business Risk Compliance) will be leading the reinvigoration and upskilling of the overall risk management processes for the group across business units. This includes partnering with the business to ensure operational and business risk are assessed and managed effectively via incorporation into the respective business processes.

Key responsibilities span across:

  • Enterprise & Functional Risk Management,
  • Business initiatives/new entities, systems, or processes within the Group,
  • PDPA governance, understanding & monitoring,
  • Alignment, reassessment and compliance with risk policies and procedures,
  • Ensuring infrastructure are in place and relevant policies and/or procedures are updated by respective owners to facilitate monitoring and surveillance,
  • Assessing and providing guidance on control processes (close working engagement with business and internal audit)

Skills/Experience:

  • Reputable degree or equivalent in Finance, Economics, Business, Management or Risk Management
  • Professional certification in relevant fields such as Internal Audit or Risk Management would be advantageous
  • Minimum 13 - 15 years of relevant risk management, governance, business compliance experience; with at least 3 to 4 years of risk management functional leadership track record preferred
  • Proven experience with defining, implementing, and drafting policies pertaining to operational and business risk management, will be preferred
  • Strong preference for candidates from within Pharmaceutical Healthcare Medical Devices, Consumer FMCG or Technology industries
  • Experience in handling & monitoring PDPA activity (including training & business engagement)
  • Regulatory Compliance experience will be useful
  • Ability to understand broader business issues
  • Proven track record with finance transformation & change leadership
  • Excellent stakeholder management and presentation skills
  • Strong ability to influence senior key stakeholders, including board members
