Business Risk Associate (Private Banking – 1 year contract)

Job description

​Charterhouse is supporting an international bank to source for a Business Risk AVP. Seated within the first line of defense, the incumbent will be responsible for incident reporting work and identifying risk from front to back office. You will formulate and oversee the development of critical business risk related strategy/policies with a balanced orientation towards business growth, managed risk, efficiency, enhance productivity and quality service.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the Head of Department, the incumbent will ensure the existence of a risk-based, sustainable and efficient framework surrounding Operational and Business risks within the Wealth Management Space.

You will be responsible in identifying, evaluating, monitoring, reporting and control/mitigating risks and to properly document risk management strategies, policies and procedures.

You will also take ownership in ensuring incidents are lodged and escalated on a timely basis and to ensure that the actions proposed / taken address the issues taking into consideration immediate, past and future impact.

Participate in reviewing and collation exercise of the annual Enterprise Risk Assessments, such as Risk Cartography Self-Assessment and Risk Identification etc.

REQUIREMENTS:

To qualify for the role, you should have

• Min. Degree

• Min. 3 years of experience in Operational Risk/ Controls within Private/ Wealth Banking

• Strong understanding of risk control framework and operational risk management

• Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment
