Compliance Assurance Officer (Global Bank)

Job description

​Charterhouse is supporting an international bank to source for a Compliance Assurance Officer. Seated within the compliance monitoring team, the incumbent provide oversight on controls performed by line 1 and line 2, he/she will use relevant data and indicators to advise the business on the right controls and monitoring framework.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the Head of Department, you will perform targeted Quality Assurance evaluations on the first line of defense and the second line of defense to assess and ensure adherence to legal, regulatory, and internal Bank policies.

You will take ownership in raising potential concerns and exceptional items identified during the review process to the for discussion and further investigation as required.

You will enhance current control procedures to formalize local controls in accordance with Group requirements, including the collection and documentation of supporting evidence and collaborate with teams on cross-functional quality control and assurance initiatives.

REQUIREMENTS:

To qualify for the role, you should have

• Min. Degree

• Min.2 years of working experience within the banking sector

• Open to candidates who are currently in operations and looking to venture into a analytics / control function

• Proficient in Power BI tools or otherwise Python coding
