Job description
My client is a leading private education institution and due to expansion, they are looking for a seasoned PR professional to join them. Reporting to the Head of Department, he/she will be responsible for driving a cohesive PR strategy and leading the development of PR initiatives to maximise brand awareness/presence.
Responsibilities:
Cultivate and maintain relationships with media outlets particularly in the education and government sectors
Arrange media interviews, press releases and speaking engagements to promote the company and its programmes
Drive internal alignment on all communications-related matters with Management and stakeholders
Lead pre-emptive planning for communicating in crisis situations and take a hands-on approach in the development of crisis-related messaging
Manage the brand and communications budget
Requirements:
Min. 15 years of experience in PR & Communications with at least 5 years in a leadership position
Established network of education-sector relevant media contacts
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to interact positively and professionally at all levels
