Fraud Advisory SVP / VP

Job description

​Charterhouse is supporting a Reputable Bank to source for a Fraud Advisory SVP/VP. Seated with the business, you will be a SME on fraud-related matters with a specific focus on anti-fraud frameworks, investigation methodologies, and surveillance techniques.

Responsibilities:

You will be tasked to offer expert knowledge and guidance on escalated cases and support in-depth investigations for high-profile fraud cases. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify areas for priority review based on the criticality of controls, emerging risks, and regulatory priorities.

You will provide direction and assistance to the business in managing fraud risks, including the implementation of the bank's fraud policies and guidelines. You will be tasked to work together with internal stakeholders within the bank, to identify emerging fraud risks and provide feedback to enhance the bank's Fraud Detection & Surveillance models.

You will cultivate strong working relationships with key stakeholders within the bank's Group Compliance function, particularly those leading Anti-Financial Crime Advisory activities, and with control owners within the business as required. You will be required to inform the business about the latest developments, including best practices, in both the risk and regulatory domains.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree or professional qualification in business or banking/financial services related areas.

• At least 7 years of relevant compliance advisory experience in fraud, anti-fraud framework and fraud investigations.

• Hands-on experience in operationalising fraud policies and guidelines

• A team player, strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills; must have a go getter mindset.

• Good knowledge/understanding of banking and financial services laws & regulations, compliance best practices and understanding of financial products & systems

• Ability to work effectively, under pressure, in a rapid changing environment, as well as autonomously and as an effective member of a dynamic team
