IT Compliance Specialist

Job description

Charterhouse is currently partnering with a Financial Institution to source for an IT Compliance Specialist, the main responsibility of this position is to ensure that the organization complies with all applicable compliance regulations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The incumbent will be responsible in ensuring that business practices and conduct adhere to applicable laws, rules, and regulations. You will be required to collaborate with business units to identify and manage potential regulatory risks and evaluate risks while taking into account the company's reputation and the interests of stakeholders

You will be responsible in establish and implement policies, standards, and procedures that comply with applicable regulations.

Develop and execute compliance testing, continuous assurance, and compliance reporting.

Collaborate with IT Department to address control weaknesses by designing and implementing new controls to address known issues.

You will take ownership in providing training to increase awareness of control requirements specified in IT standards and/or industry best practices.

REQUIREMENTS:

• The ideal candidate should hold a degree and have at least 4 years of compliance experience in a regulated financial industry.

• Holding relevant professional certificates such as CISA, CISSP, CRISC, or CGEIT is preferred.

• The candidate should have practical experience in IT control assessment/auditing, technology risk management, and business & system process review.

• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and an investigative mindset are essential for this role.

• Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to prioritize, and manage multiple tasks are also required.
