Operations (Hedge Fund) with Python / VBA with ref.

Responsibilities:

Handling trade lifecycle events, including but not limited to confirmations, settlements, corporate actions, maturities, expiries, and fixings of portfolio positions.
Performing reconciliations of trades and positions between internal systems, broker statements, and the fund administrator system.
Generating reports for internal stakeholders such as the Front Office and Management.
Providing timely responses and resolutions to queries from internal and external stakeholders.
Working on new initiatives (given it’s a new function) including ad hoc projects, including but not limited to, process automation/integration, and new workflows.

Experience, Requirements & Skills:

Education: Business or Finance degree preferred.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of Equities, FX, Fixed Income, and OTC derivatives financial products.
Experience: 4-7 years of direct operations experience in end-to-end trade lifecycle management within the financial services industry, preferably in a large bank or hedge fund.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel VBA and Python.
Attributes: Meticulous and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
Adaptability: Able to work under tight timelines and pressure in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to reprioritize assignments on short notice.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Able to provide backup leave coverage for New York and Late London shifts rotationally.
