​Regional VP, Commercial Finance with a High Growth Consumer Retail Brand

Reporting directly to the Global CFO based remotely in Europe and partnering directly with the Regional GM based in Singapore; this Regional VP, Commercial Finance will have full stewardship of the overall region’s commercial finance, FP&A activities, and financial management matters.

Representing this region as the most senior finance leader, you will be focused on partnering with the Regional GM on achieving the aggressive commercial growth plans. The day-to-day financial management matters will be handled directly by a high performing team of 2pax, who report directly into you. There is a separate shared services team based in Malaysia supporting with the transactional accounting work.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead the analysis and reporting of financial performance of aligned business area, supporting the delivery of business performance reporting, budgeting and forecasting for commercial improvement

• Partner regional business lead in driving commercial strategic planning

• Partner Finance Shared Service to ensure local accounting meets compliance standards and local statutory requirements

• Oversee and advise statutory and internal finance reporting requirements for the business including but not limited to taxation and internal/ external audits

• Financial leadership and support in strategic and operational projects and lead on commercial decision making for the region

• Lead the production of territories’ 1 to 5-year plans, budgets and forecasts that supports business’s commercial growth strategy

• Responsible for the management and production of capital and revenue investment proposals for territories with ad-hoc modelling of commercial options for decision making

• Lead the financial input to supporting commercial deals within the territories, including rebates, thereby driving improved visibility of new deals, improved decision making and improvement to controls

• Lead, engage and develop a high performing team – setting objectives, appraising performance, planning future succession and coaching of the team in line with the business’s performance management processes

• Act as prime interface between group finance operations, tax, treasury and other regional finance counterparts

Desired Skills/Experience:

• Degree in Accountancy and with CPA / CA qualifications

• Minimum of 13 - 15 years’ experience in commercial finance, FP&A and overall financial management

• Strong preference for candidates who have operated in a lean team set up, leading and driving the commercial finance business partnering function as a direct report to the CFO at region HQ level

• Strong preference for candidates with proven track record within Consumer Goods, FMCG, Retail or related industries

• Hands on experience with SAP will be highly advantageous

• Proven track record in directly managing teams across multiple locations

• Proven track record in guiding businesses to achieve successful commercial metrics

• Proven track record with process improvements, automation and systems implementation

• Strong understanding in Finance business partnership, statutory finance, audit and tax

• Excellent stakeholder management and presentation skills

• Strong ability to influence senior key regional stakeholders
