Job description

The incumbent is responsible for leading demand planning activities of specific products, maintaining optimum balance between stock availability, stock levels and replenish costs to distribution centers.

Responsibilities:

  • Forecasting and Ordering :
    • Build sales forecast for Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand, integrating commercial targets, launch plans, events, seasonality, trends and product lifecycle.
    • Convert sales forecasts into supply needs and challenge forecasts provided by merchant team.
    • Review KPIs and adjust forecasting models to ensure KPIs (such as OSA, forecast accuracy, stock levels, etc.) are met.
    • Work with local supply chain managers and merchandisers to ensure localization incorporated into the forecasting model.
    • Actively review product database to ensure accuracy of the product assortment. 
  • Coordination with Merchant team (category managers), Marketing & Finance: 
    • Engage in S&OP process to align all services on sales forecast, launch & animation plans as well as financial plans.
    • Monitor and optimize open-to-buy process to meet inventory targets 
    • Actively communicates situation on slow moving products / discontinued products to the category team to determine inventory reduction plans and to ensure minimal ageing stock. 
  • Regularly review key brands to share OSA, supplier fill rate & stock situation, and analyse improvement plans. 
  • Define action plans to improve processes, methods and tools, and monitor their implementation. 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in Business, Operations Management or Supply Chain.
  • 5+ years of experience in demand planning, FMCG preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Advanced excel capabilities (VBA knowledge will be a plus).
  • SAP system experience preferred.
  • Candidate must come from procurement background, having warehouse experience.
