Job description

Reporting to Head of External Communications, the Senior Communications Manager is responsible for the developing and maintaining good relations with the media and developing stories and content for online, print and broadcast.

Responsibilities:

  • Building and maintaining good relationships with the media; traditional and social
  • Identifying opportunities through conferences and awards to raise the profile of the company in the media
  • Developing thought leadership content to promote and support the company's brand and business
  • Developing corporate communications content for example presentations, annual reports and speeches etc
  • Working closely with senior management to identify and manage potential issues that could threaten the company's reputation 

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified with 8 to 10 years of working experience in communications and/or public relations
  • Self-starter who is adept at responding quickly and thoughtfully
  • Excellent written and spoken communications skills
  • Ability to interact positively and professionally at all levels
