Senior Datawarehouse Project Manager - Senior Position, Banking

Job description

My client is a renowned bank and they are expanding and growing aggressively in the region. They are expanding their Technology and Operations set up in Singapore and is keen to speak to top tier talents in the market.

They are currently looking to hire a senior independent contributor position within their Data Services team. As part of a multi-year, multi-million Big Data Platform buildout, the individual will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery and project management of this initiative.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate large and/or complex IT application projects through all phases of projects – from initiating, planning, executing, controlling and closing. It includes budgeting, highlighting & mitigating risks and issues to turn the project around.

• The project manager will oversee the overall architecture, design, development, and maintenance of data warehousing and data mart systems and services for the entire enterprise's business intelligence function; work closely with business users to understand their strategy objective and define the needed data to identify and maximize opportunities to utilize data marts and/or data warehouse systems to improve business processes.

• Provide leadership for regional project management function by managing, coordinating, and developing staff, third party project managers, vendors, business units representatives and internal IT sections like IT security, IT Risk & Compliance team.

• Operate with significant independence and minimal supervision as the principal project representative.

Requirements

• Relevant Degree in engineering/Computer Science / IT from a recognized education institution

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in the direct management of large, complex IT application projects especially in Data warehouse and Big Data Technologies.

• Extensive experience in Big Data and Advance Analytics / Business Intelligence / Data Warehousing projects is a must

• Experience in Software Development / SDLC is a prerequisite

• Enterprise data warehouse implementation experience.

• Strong presentation skills, Good spoken and written English

• Able to articulate clearly and logically to senior management

• Strong EQ
