Strategic Communications Director

Job description

Due to expansion, a new role is created and my client is currently looking for a Strategic Communications Director. This will an a local role and an individual contributor. He/She will be responsible for strategic corporate communications focusing on enhancing the digital visibility and maintaining the positioning of the company.

Responsibilities:

• Development of media engagement strategies and management of relevant press contacts and key digital influencers
• Leading and driving all media activites and events
• Securing positive press coverage and interview opportunities
• Overseeing content generation and development of communications materials
• Developing a digital brand value proposition and representation
• Working closely with internal stakeholders, pr agency and media for digital positioning
• Developing and executing creative internal/employee communications in the digital area
• Influencing management to bridge awareness and understanding with the digital story
• Owning the key relationships with digital influncers and bloggers
• Managing and securing event venues for digital activities

Requirements:

• Degree qualified with minimum of 12 years of experience in corporate communications
• Good media contacts
• Excellent written and oral communications
• Self-starter who is adept at responding quickly and thoughfully
• Track record in creating and implementating digital communications campaigns both internally and publicly
• Passion for digital and communications
