Job description
Charterhouse is supporting an Established IT Service Provider to source for a Compliance Lead (VP level). This is a newly created headcount within the team, the incumbent will ensure the Company complies with external regulations, legal requirements and its internal policies. He/she will lead the compliance program in collaboration with various stakeholders to strengthen the Company’s processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
You will be tasked to establish and assess internal compliance policies and procedures, integrating industry best practices to enhance corporate risk governance. You will formulate strategies for effective risk management and periodically examine and update Business Continuity Plans (BCP).
Seated within Line 2 of defense, you will offer independent oversight and suggest solutions to rectify problematic or inadequate areas. You will also coordinate communication with both external and internal audit teams and strategize mitigation controls with pertinent departments and monitor their implementation until closure, reporting progress to management.
As a Subject Matter Expert (SME), your responsibility includes staying informed about regulatory changes/updates and conducting gap analyses to ensure alignment of entity policies and procedures as necessary.
REQUIREMENTS:
To qualify for the role, you should have
Bachelor’s Degree
Minimum 5-8 years of relevant work experience in compliance, internal control, risk management, or internal audit
Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of Singapore laws, regulations (e.g., MAS Notices and Guidelines including but not limited to TRM, Guidelines on Outsourcing Risk Management, Guidelines on Business Continuity Management).
Advanced skills in using Microsoft Office products.
Displays a good understanding of risk-related subjects.
Exhibits strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Possesses excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret complex regulations.
