Job description

The incumbent will be taking on 2 portfolios as a senior point of contact for customers within their respective programmes as well as overseeing the overall stakeholders management: a) Programme Manager and b) Regional IT Product Director, for APAC coverage on transport management solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Programme Manager - APAC Transport Management Solutions
o Support growth and development in our APAC Transport Operations by Leading the Regional delivery of a programme of projects, change across both the Regional Transport Business Solutions Team and the Regional TMS team, promoting the DPDHL core values, competencies and strategies - Ensure all Scope, Resourcing, Risk, Issues and Financials related to individual projects are effectively managed to deliver to expectations.
o Support Transport and IT Senior Management and Stakeholders through the proactive supply of management information and presentations, or when requested
o Support the drive of a Standardization and Continuous Improvement culture within the Transport Business Solutions and the Regional TMS team
o Support and grow the relationships between APAC Transport IT and other DHL Clusters and Countries

Regional IT Product Director
o Support the growth and maturity development of the various IT products in scope
o Lead the Regional Product and templates roadmap in strict alignment with the Global IT Strategy for the IT products in scope
o Continuously improve all regional services in scope
o Work closely with business stakeholders to understand demand landscape and develop suitable solutions for each product suite
o Work closely with Regional IT CS to define Go-To Market model
o Work closely with OE to integrate standards of products in scope and to increase adoption/usage of standard products
o Manage commercials, rate cards and internal re-charging models
o Ensure all IT Regional products in scope are governed by an acceptable framework, tools, methodologies in alignment with Global requirements
o Continuously review technology evolution to support new business challenges and to reduce IT costs
o Support Product lifecycle of each product in scope

Accountabilities
o Lead program delivery across Transport Business Process Solutions and TMS Delivery Team
o Provide regular visibility and Stakeholder status updates related to all Program of aligned work
o Support and drive standardization of Processes and Products across APAC Transport Operations
o Review the status of all Projects within the program and ensure that all issues and risks associated with Scope, Resource, Timelines and Budget are effectively managed, escalating timeously where deemed necessary
o Support, Develop and Coach individual Project Managers and Project Leads to deliver individual Project on time, to requirements and to budget, escalating issues timeously when necessary.
o Accountable for the successful delivery of quality solutions , across all defined measurement metrics and programme of work
o Accountable for the effective customer and stakeholder communications and management
o Ensure all engaged team members adhere to DPDHL methodologies and governance mandates
o Coordinate and ensure that all changes follow the standard Change Request approval process
o Accountable to meet set targets and KPI's related to best practice, "Basics" and standardisation

Finance/Projects
o Review and ensure all changes follow the defined Change process and all projects follow the defined project delivery process
o Review and ensure adequate level of resource allocation to deliver multiple demand pipelines
o Ensure their teams adherence to DPDHL methodologies and governance mandates
o Support IT senior management with management information and presentations
o Facilitate and ensure the efficient and effective resolution of escalations
o Facilitate and ensure that their respective team are focused on the tasks required, and are engaged correctly
o Initiate and drive continuous improvement initiatives across all aspects of their respective programme and team

People Management
o Function as a Leadership Role Model in living the DHL Leadership attributes
o Drive a continuous improvement and standardization culture in their respective team
o As a representative of IT senior management, act as a mentor to employees when required
o Drive initiatives and foster a work environment and culture to retain good employees, in alignment with DPDHL's core values and competencies
o Manage the performance of under performing employees, in adherence to HR guidelines, when required
o Works closely with external vendors, when Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) elements are part of the proposed architectures.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Experience and understanding of various Transport operational models in APAC
• Experience and understanding of Digitalisation solutions in Transport Management arena and associated value , and also managing regional Products
• Experience and understanding of Transport Management System best practices
• Commercial awareness, Customer oriented, Ability to influence and negotiate, Strong analytical skills, Change Management
• General knowledge of IT methods and practices :
o Requirements gathering and definition
o Experience of Supply Chain
o Proven ability to champion an idea and bring a group to consensus
o Able to assess risk from both technical and business viewpoint
o Deep analytical skills - ability to define critical components/path
o Able to negotiate and resolve conflicts - Influencing skils
o Excellent communication in English (Tailored to all levels and audiences) - ability to conceptualise
o Ability to integrate the solution to domains/standards and best practices
o Demonstrable planning and estimating skills
o Specialist level knowledge of S/W development lifecycle & support - advanced understanding of technical and software architecture
o Project management hands on experience and expertise as well as ability to adopt a consulting style as appropriate
o Good understanding of multiple technologies (ego RDBMS, Cloud Computing / SaaS, Mobile , SOA, UI, Integration, SQL, .NET platform, Java, Open Source, Web services)
