Job description


Requirements analysis and elicitation

  • Support product owners to ensure features and stories to be delivered are well defined and structured

  • Support product owners to collaborate with stakeholders to define target operating model for key processes

  • Lead analysis tasks which contribute to increment and delivery of working software

  • Contribute to analysis, development, build and testing of working software

  • Analyse and document the "to be" business and operations processes based on the agreed requirements and/or function points, perform impact assessment

  • Analyse and define detailed functional specifications and non-functional requirements based on business requirements

Team Collaboration

  • Transition functional and non-functional requirements to system analysts, and ensure a clear and complete understanding of the requirements

  • Facilitate "Train the Trainer" for end-users on application enhancements

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge base related to application features and processes (subject matter expertise)

  • Work with colleagues from other teams to communicate and accept dependencies

  • Participate enthusiastically and effectively in agile ceremonies

  • Commit to increasing other team members’ analysis skills and experiences

Testing and Scope Management

  • Work with Test Manager to translate business requirements into test scenarios

  • Clarify test findings escalated by Test Manager and classify the findings accordingly (either as a defect or change request)

  • Perform impact assessment and estimation for project Change Request

  • Monitor and manage risks /issues related to requirements and scope creep

  • Write business functional release notes and contribute to deployment plan


  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical or business discipline

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in retail/digital banking

  • At least 7 years of experience working as business/technical analyst

  • Have domain expertise supporting retail bank business requirement for retail banking products (deposit and unsecured lending)

  • Strong working experience in digital banking is preferred, whether for engagement with retail customers/end-users or partners

  • Strong working knowledge of one of the following:

    • chatbot, AI, NLP/NLU, ML algorithms is preferred

    • digital authentication (e.g. biometric fingerprint, face recognition, motion liveness) and government/national digital ID is preferred

    • customer experience and engagement, or data analytic and customer behavior/insight, or digital marketing

  • Experience in Agile/Scrum environment and framework, e.g. sprint planning, sprint review, backlog grooming, etc

  • Exposure to Lean/Six Sigma or process re-engineering

  • Familiar with change management processes and project management fundamentals

  • Exposure to back office operations and omni-channel services is an advantage

  • Experience in scoping and evaluation – Defining overall

  • Understanding of technology and operational processes across functions in the bank

  • High level of technical skill in use of business analysis techniques, methodologies and artefacts to support agile software development

  • Knowledge and experience of toolkits like JIRA, Confluence
