Job description
My client is an established global bank with a strong presence in APAC. They are looking to hire an experienced Compliance Officer to join their team in Singapore.
This is not your typical compliance role.
The Financial Crime Compliance/AML Advisory team has oversight responsibilities for areas including anti-money laundering (‘AML'), counter terrorist-financing (‘CTF'), fraud, bribery, sanctions, PEPs and high risk clients.
This role is to ensure that institutional banking clients (including financial intermediaries) adhere to local AML/KYC roles. You will advise local group compliance teams and CIB businesses on any AML alerts while working on functional projects to improve controls.
Any escalations from your team will report to the Head of Financial Crime Compliance and the CCO of APAC.
To qualify, individuals must possess:
- Bachelor qualified
- Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience
- Knowledge on financial regulations including MAS 626 and Sanction Laws
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently and in a team
- Strong communication skills as you will engage senior stakeholders
