Job description
Charterhouse Partnership is partnering with growing Financial Institution to source for a Regulatory Advisory AVP, reporting to the Head of Regulatory Compliance, you will assist to manage compliance risk within the company and provide regulatory compliance advisory to business
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for offering expert guidance on regulatory compliance to business and functional stakeholders, focusing on the Banking Act and associated regulations. You will take ownership in overseeing compliance risks and ensure strict adherence to Singapore regulations within the Bank by enforcing Compliance policies and procedures, as well as implementing additional measures as needed.
You should be kept abreast of emerging regulatory requirements and promptly communicate them to relevant stakeholders and senior management, facilitating their effective implementation. Assist in addressing inquiries from regulators, auditors, and authorities, ensuring timely and comprehensive responses.
You will prepare essential materials for training sessions, management reports, and regulatory submissions, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Requirements
To be qualified for this opportunity,
Degree in Accountancy, Banking, Finance, Business or Law, or relevant professional qualification in financial services.
Accumulate a minimum of 5 years of experience in regulatory, compliance, or advisory positions within the financial sector, preferably within banking institutions.
Prior experience working as a regulator is considered advantageous.
Demonstrate a solid understanding of the regulatory environment and pertinent laws and regulations, including but not limited to the Banking Act and Payments Services Act.
Exhibit high levels of motivation, attention to detail, proactiveness, and adaptability, while being an effective team player.
Showcase strong communication skills with a proven ability to work autonomously and thrive in high-pressure situations.
