Compliance Officer - Private Banking

​Charterhouse is supporting an international bank to source for Compliance Officer within their KYC unit. You will be performing reviews of new accounts and provide advisory to business on AML/ KYC as well as on-boarding matters.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The incumbent will be reviewing client profiles during account opening and recertification phase to ensure conformity to internal and regulatory requirements on AML/CFT/CDD standards, you will also be responsible in providing advisory support to the business with regard to resolving newly identified adverse media, link to sanction countries related issues, identifying potential Politically Exposed Persons etc.

You will be required to perform risk assessment and make decisions with regards to unblocking of accounts and conduct investigations and filing suspicious transaction reports (STRs) as appropriate.

You should be kept updated on the changes in the domestic regulatory requirements (MAS) and be aware of the different obligations from other jurisdictions such as HKMA and HO. When required, to provide training of internal new or revised policies and procedures and external new regulations to relevant stakeholders

REQUIREMENTS:

To qualify for the role, you should have

• Degree

• Min. 6 years of experience in preferably in Wealth Management or Private Banking focusing on KYC/AML reviews as well as transaction monitoring.

• Knowledge in the use of Factiva

• Interpersonal skill to work as team player

• Able to work independently with minimal supervision

• Able to work with different stakeholders to investigate alerts/exceptions and recommend improvements
