Infrastructure Solution Lead

Job description

The Infrastructure Solution Lead will assist in delivering this programme by:

• Managing team of 5+ members and help guide them handling various Infrastructure activities.
• Help in team member’s development and ensuring that all the necessary training is provided / arranged in timely manner and team stay motivated.
• Provide inputs on existing processes and collaborate with DevOps team towards automation and delivery efficiency
• Stakeholder feedback (business and technology)
• Team performance and completion of various infrastructure activities on time
• Ensuring environments stability and availability

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Must Have:

• Process adherence

• Strong analytical and problem solving

• Network knowledge and standard networking protocols

• Understanding of versioning tools (SVN, Git)

• Hands-on experience in scripting – Windows/UNIX

• Hands-on experience: install, configure, maintain applications in IT Infrastructure in UNIX environments

• Understanding of Oracle RDBMS: Oracle Services/Instances/Processes/FileSystems/Backup/Restore

• Understanding of Web & Application Servers (Apache, Tomcat, JBOSS, WebLogic)

• Analyze problems, evaluate technical issues, test, maintain, modify, integrate, monitor and ensure to automate software systems.

• Conduct long range strategic plans of IT infrastructure plus operational aspects of application execution within infrastructure.

Technical Competence

SCM

• Source code control, repositories, versioning, branching, merging

• SCM libraries such as SVN, Git

Build & Deployment

• Hands on experience on Build tools

• Automation of deployments

Integration

• Middleware, Database setup & connectivity

• WebMethods, Informatica, Microstrategy, OPA, MQ

Performance & Monitoring

• Alerts and thresholds setup, alerts handling

• Performance bottlenecks identification in Infra layer

Security

• Security Essentials

• SSL/PKI config

• Infrastructure Vulnerabilities and remediation

Training, Qualifications and Certifications

• Training/qualifications and Certifications in some of the technical domains as mentioned will be an added advantage
