Project Manager (Quant Trading)

Job description

​Our client is a leader in the quant trading field and they are looking for a project manager.

Your role will entail overseeing projects directly tied to their trading operations. Effective communication across various teams will be essential to ensure project completion within established timelines and alignment with our strategic objectives. Additionally, you'll be expected to engage in high-level cross-team collaboration, fostering relationships with stakeholders including middle to senior management, product owners, and finance professionals within the region.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Serve as a Project Manager to oversee strategic projects within trading and across departments.

• Act as a Business/Product Manager to guide projects from inception to launch, crafting the roadmap for trading desks.

• Successfully manage assigned projects, delivering them with high quality and within specified timelines.

• Lead sprint planning meetings and manage task backlogs using the Jira system.

• Anticipate and escalate potential obstacles, collaborating with relevant teams to find solutions.

• Oversee listing operations as part of your duties.

• Collaborate with various teams on other business-as-usual (BAU) and operational tasks.

• Demonstrate flexibility in working across different time zones.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Finance, Business, or related quantitative disciplines

• Minimum of 6 years' experience as a project manager or product manager, preferably within the Banking, Brokerage, or FinTech sectors

• Thorough understanding of financial products, trading life cycles, database structures, and system architecture

• Exceptional abilities in requirement analysis and drafting comprehensive business documentation

• Proficient in SDLC methodologies and adept at utilizing Jira for project documentation and collaboration

• Well-versed in Agile/Scrum practices

• Demonstrated strength in interpersonal relations, communication, and stakeholder management

• Self-motivated and quick to grasp new concepts, with a penchant for innovation

• Deep interest in trading, financial products, and the cryptocurrency industry
